Dennis de Guzman
Attorney
Dennis has over 20 years of law firm and in-house experience with U.S. and foreign patent preparation and prosecution in various electrical, software, mechanical, and optical technologies, as well as reissue and reexamination cases. Dennis has also performed invalidity and non-infringement opinion work, freedom to operate studies, claim charting, supervision and training of attorneys, client counseling on IP strategies, and establishing patent forms and best practice procedures for law firms and in-house IP departments.
Dennis has further served as a primary attorney contact for major clients and as an IP loss prevention (risk management) counsel, in addition to managing large patent dockets. Dennis is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (summa cum laude) from Seattle University in 1991 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington in 1996, where he was a member of the Law Review.
Linda S. Zachariah
Attorney
Linda has over 15 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications. She began her career at Blakely, Sokoloff, Taylor, and Zafman, a leading intellectual property boutique on the West Coast. She worked on a variety of intellectual property transactions and prepared, filed, and obtained patents for Fortune 100 multinational companies in the computer memory, semiconductor, optical, Internet, and e-commerce technology fields. Her practice areas currently encompass technology areas ranging from artificial intelligence (AI) to fin-tech. Linda's IP experience also includes serving as general counsel at a digital medical startup. Linda is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, post-baccalaureate studies at the University of Washington (UW) (physics and biology), and a Juris Doctor from University of Washington School of Law. Additionally, she has served on the K-12 Education Grant Committee at Social Venture Partners and is a volunteer for the Promise of Justice Initiative which assists in addressing unconstitutional jury convictions.
Jivitesh C
Patent Agent
Jivitesh is an experienced patent agent with over 10 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for multinational companies in various fields, including software, electrical, telecommunications, and manufacturing. He has also served as an in-house patent manager, where he has developed patent budgeting/docketing strategies, managed patent portfolios, streamlined patent processes, trained patent professionals, and acted as a liaison between outside counsel and inventors. Jivitesh is registered to practice as a patent agent before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the United States Patent and Trademark office (for Canadian clients) and holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication engineering (2012).
